services
I blend tui na, acupressure, and acupuncture in my sessions, adding gua sha, moxibustion and cupping as appropriate. These sessions are dynamic, blending movement, pressure and subtle energetic work. I am open to modifying which modalities I use in a given session based on what is called for/how you are feeling. I also prescribe herbal medicine formulas to extend the benefits of treatment.

tui na + acupressure
Tui na is a modality within the Chinese medicine body of wisdom meaning push-pull/grasp. Acupressure refers to the stimulation of points where qi is palpable to the touch. These practices involve the dynamic application of movement and hand postures, including: rocking, shaking, stretching, and range of motion. The benefits include: improved circulation, injury repair, spaciousness, improved mental, emotional, spiritual clarity and strength.
acupuncture
the placement of sterile needles and stimulation of points throughout the body to clear blockages. The benefits include: pain relief, immunity recovery and resilience; improved digestion, sleep patterns, and circulation; fertility support, injury repair, and a greater sense of clarity and ease.
herbal medicine
I have studied a range of approaches from classical medicinal prescriptions to modern-day formulations. Prescriptions are based on diagnosis and finding the combination of herbs to address a person’s constitution, signs and symptoms in the present moment. Herbal medicine is one of the best ways to support digestion, immunity, hormone balance, and a wide range of dermatological issues, such as: eczema and acne. I largely prescribe granules (powder), sometimes raw herbs, with in-depth instructions on how to take them.
